Know your rights, have your say!

Have you ever been treated unfairly? Have you ever been bullied? Do you have enough to eat and somewhere safe to live? Do you sometimes feel powerless, or that other people are not taking you seriously?

You may not know it, but you do have rights. Every child and young person has the same human rights as adults. Learn more about your rights. Knowing about them, can change your life.

In honour of National Child Day – celebrated every year on November 20th – PREVNet, Yoo Magazine, UNICEF CANADA and the Public Health Agency of Canada have worked together to create a series of articles about the rights and freedoms that are promised to you under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Inspired by these rights, National Child Day recognizes that all children are important and deserve to be treated fairly.
